Output power is regulated and stabilized independently of the voltage fluctuations on the input side. The connection to the overhead line is galvanically isolated and equipped with reverse voltage protection and an overvoltage filter. This basically makes a more compact, lighter and cheaper realization possible in comparison with conventional trolleybus technology. An additional advantage is the absence of maintenance costs for different isolators.
